Sara Garden Armstrong: Threads and Layers surveys works by Alabama native and UA alumna, Sara Garden Armstrong, a visual artist whose career in Alabama and New York City spans six decades. The exhibit displays artwork of the late 1970’s - canvas covered airbrushed forms - to recent drawings and paintings using pigmented fiber. Also shown are large-scale works on paper focused on the shoreline in Brittany & Long Island, capturing the experience of a place as a changing sequence of moments.
